I was introduced into the insurance business in 2004 by my current manager, Raymond Leong who was my trusted family agent. A 9-to-5 job had taken much from my children growing up time and entering into the insurance business was one of the fastest jobs that I could switch to, from employed to self-employed, and allowing me to have a flexi-work-family schedule where my time could be arranged and decided by me.

What keeps me going since then? First, my clients. A simple thumbs up by clients or their kind referral makes me do more for them, each time. Next, this work gradually became part of my life. I enjoy the time meeting up with friends who became clients and referrals who became my friends. My life became warmer with more people surrounding me and more fulfilling when I see the financial solutions are working out well with my clients.

This business has also widened my perspectives under my personal talk events, My Talk Series where I conduct and engage financial education to corporations and associations.

I think my “talents” have been much posted on Facebook with my passion for art, cooking and ukulele.

I have been heading a ukulele interest group in my neighbourhood since 2012. This ukulele interest group welcomes any person from all walks of life who have an interest in music, to share and learn from one another.

I love arts and enjoy cooking. I also co-started an art education centre for children since 2010.

My parents are my source of inspiration. My dad worked hard, building a small business from scratch. His ever-givings and dedications to the community for the past 40 years and still continuing so, leaves a deep impact on me. He is always happy and never stops learning. He learns the use of smartphones and enjoys his time on social media.

My mom dedicates her life to her children. Her resilience in doing what she loves shines through all these years. Not once a complaint from her, no matter how tough times were.

I’m thankful that Raymond led me into this exciting journey. The people at Alliance Organisation have a heart of compassion, caring for the one another and believing in everyone in doing their best. The collective joy when one does well is apparent in the team and makes me proud to be part of it.
