A Financial Planner, like any self-employed business owner, has multiple hats to wear. The learning curve for providing financial services is extremely steep. Plus, the need to learn entrepreneurship is mind-blowing. Running a thriving professional practice is never a one-person job. They need a dedicated team to support them well.
At Alliance Organisation, besides training, coaching, and nurturing our Financial Planners to be world-class professionals, we also provide extensive support so that they can focus on what they do best - serving you.
There are four key areas that Alliance Organisation provides for our Financial Planners to serve you well.
1. MARKETING
It is not just about leads generation. It is how we create a wow-experience when you work with one of our Financial Planners. We do this by continually honing and improving our practice process. Paying attention to each process’s details helps us to develop materials that will make your experience extraordinary and valuable. It is an extremely long list of things that we do, but you get the idea.
2. BUSINESS SUPPORT
Proper administration is vital in ensuring smooth operations. It is essential, but unfortunately, it is not productive. We want our Financial Planners to place their time with you, not paperwork. Alliance Organisation employed six full-time staff to support 24 Financial Planners on admin, marketing, general insurance, case preparation, and policy servicing.
3. LEARNING
An excellent Financial Planner needs a wealth of knowledge. To plan for you effectively, they need to know finance, investment, tax, law, accounting, actuarial science, economics, and psychology. These are just academics. They also need to acquire skills like problem understanding and identification, learning from past experiences to instill lessons for the future, strong people skills to build relationships, and listening and communicating effectively. Our Learning Centre in Alliance Organisation imparts all of these to our Financial Planners.
4. DIGITALIZATION
An excellent financial status is not everything, but we need money for everything. The same analogy applies to digitalization. We will always insist on the human touch, but we cannot deny that most jobs done digitally are more effective and efficient. We know that you value time a lot. Thus, we build digital tools for our Financial Planners to help you save time.

The way to unlock a person’s potential is to give him/her space to grow. And that is why we are such firm believers in cultivating a work-life balance. After all, our job is to plan your future so that you too, can afford to do the things that you love.
Running a professional practice is an individual sport. Like a competitive golfer, though he/she has a coach, caddie, equipment staff, etc. that forms a team to support, but no one can touch the ball in a game except for the golfer. It gets lonely sometimes. Our Financial Planners share the same sentiments.
We put together a caring Support Group of like-minded individuals to provide our Financial Planners an opportunity to share their ups and downs. That will help to bring comfort and uplift morale. You want your Financial Planner to serve you for the long term. Keeping healthy mental wellbeing will ensure their resilience for the long haul. At Alliance Organisation, most of our Financial Planners have been running for more than ten years, and a handful are more than 30 years! This Support Group that we have played an enormous role.
Bondivity – is an alien word to you. But to us, it is a fun word! Bonding + Activities = Bondivity. At Alliance, we believe in work-life balance. When your Financial Planner maintains a healthy work-life balance, they are more engaged and better equipped to build a lasting partnership with you. We organize a lot of fun activities and trips together—our Financial Planners bond with each other like family.
Having a strong clan culture is advantageous to you in numerous ways. When your Financial Planner is away, you can rest assured that any of our Financial Planners are willing to get your work done on their behalf. That is how family members support each other.

OUR BEGINNING
In January 2000, Alliance was founded by Lilian Ng Wee Cheng, together with her life partner and best comrade at work, myself. Our intention was to build the Preferred Wealth Planning Organization, formed by people with similar passion in providing sound and professional financial advice, to serve the needs of our loyal clients. We wanted to build true leaders who can sense the wind of change and steer who they serve, in the right direction, towards their dreams.
We hold strong values of Truth, Trust & Transparency to make a positive difference in people’s lives with our professional advice and services. I personally believe we have to say what we do and do what we say because truth in our action, matters. Having absolute trust in our teammates and partners as well as being entrusted by our clients with their needs. Carrying out our work with sincerity and honesty is just how we are, as people. We work with 100% transparency, to communicate with openness, treat everyone with empathy and compassion.
To realize this vision, I realized we need to build a highly proficient, productive and professional practice. A mission where we need to pick the right talents, to be committed to advancing our level of expertise continuously, bond as a team and to stay relevant in the dynamic marketplace.
Hence, we invest a lot in education in our team, so much so that your average Alliance coaches has gone for 3x more courses than other coaches. Our team of quietly competent coaches has combined advisory experience of more than 300 years in Financial Protection, Assets Management and Estate Planning. Unlike other organisations, our clients are being served not by only one coach, but a whole team of coaches with different expertise, so that our clients get the best subject matter advice.

OUR EARLY CHALLENGES
In the early years, the systems and backroom administrative support were inconsistent and ad-hoc. For our coaches to concentrate on their clients instead of frustrating paperwork, we needed to build infrastructure and setup support systems from nothing.
Great people joined our team steadily. We anchored strategic partnerships along the way. Slowly, we built up a robust support system and reliable supplier network for our team of coaches, early from the start.
Determined to create a great business model for our coaches to focus on their roles, 5 Unique Business Departments were formed.


OUR MILESTONES
Founded in 2000, Alliance grew in and in 2007, groomed a new Director and created a merger with another organisation in 2010. These changes have positively impacted the Alliance team with more manpower, larger portfolio and expertise.
With better support and a synergized teamwork, Alliance was able to groom many achievers and awards winners over the years. We are very humbled yet proud to have produced to date; -
